PMS
Concentrated, discretionary portfolios held in your own name. You own the shares directly, and you see every trade.
What it is
A portfolio manager runs a mandate on your behalf in your own demat account. Where a mutual fund might hold sixty stocks, a PMS might hold twenty — higher conviction, and the manager's view shows up clearly in the returns, in both directions.
Who it suits
Investors with at least ₹50 lakh to commit to a single mandate who want direct ownership, a named manager accountable for the decisions, and the transparency of seeing each trade as it happens.
We place PMS through a shortlist of managers we have met, whose mandates and drawdown history we have checked ourselves. Because these are not publicly-screenable products, we discuss the shortlist with you directly rather than publishing a league table.
Ask for the shortlist- Concentration cuts both ways — twenty stocks fall harder than sixty when the manager is wrong.
- You pay capital gains tax on each trade the manager makes, not only when you exit.
- Performance fees are usually charged above a hurdle; check whether it carries a high-water mark.
- Compare a manager’s drawdown history, not only their returns — ask us for it.
PMS is a conversation, not a checkout.
We will walk through suitability, lock-ins, fees and taxation before anything is placed.
